At Harriman Farms we pride ourselves on growing safe and delicious produce--
from tomatoes to squash to watermelons and cantaloupe--we strive to provide quality
food for our customers. From starting out as one small greenhouse and a few acres,
we have since expanded our production to include three greenhouse, over 75 acres of
produce, and a produce packing facility. At our location north of Spencer you can find
us working hard to grow our business and our produce. We hope and plan to be here
for many years and we appreciate your business and support.
Greenhouse:
Starting each January we turn up the heat and start digging in the dirt--it's
time to prepare for the greenhouse season. While it's still cold and wintery outside, in
our greenhouses it's warm. We begin the season transplanting a variety of plugs and
cuttings. January through March we're busy transplanting, watering, organizing, and
preparing our plants, then we open in April. From annuals to perennials to vegetables
and herbs we have pots and baskets in many beautiful varieties and combinations. We
make every effort to grow quality, healthy plants; and we're happy to answer any
questions.
Farmers Market:
Come by and visit us July through October for delicious vegetables and
produce. We grew the majority of the produce at our market and we supplement our
own offerings with other local produce. Depending on seasonal availability we have
tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, watermelons, cantaloupe, winter squashes,
pumpkins, eggplant, cucumbers, apples, peaches, zucchini, potatoes, onions, and
more.
